Join Jessica for an engaging and lively introduction to Traditonal Thai Massage.Thai massage has been passed down through the centuries in the temples of Thailand by Buddhist monks, where it is still taught today. Welcome to friends, family and couples, learn a simple Thai massage sequence that can be practiced easily at home. Affectionately called “Lazy Man’s Yoga” in Thailand,this ancient bodywork incorporates passive stretching, pressure points, and movement. It is performed on a soft mat on the floor. Thai Foot Reflexology Workshop

Learn how to give  foot massage Thai style using a rosewood massage tool from Thailand. You will be able to offer amazing therapeutic and relaxing techniques to your clients without injuring them or your thumbs. Day one is foot massage training.Day two is composed of learning the reflex points and applying pressure to stimulate and sedate these points.Treat all kinds of imbalances, relieve stress, help  problematic feet feel yummy. Study Traditional Thai Massage with Jessica Layton in this 30 hour credit class at COCC. This class meets once a week for 3 hour segments. Students will learn how to perform a Northern style Thai Massage 90 minute sequence . Emphasis is placed on proper body mechanics and use of gravity and leverage. Students should wear loose comfortable clothes and be able to move around on hands and knees on soft mats on the floor.

Student will learn about the history of this ancient healing art form and how to apply the principles to their own practice.

Each student recieves a syllabus, reading recommendations and fully illustrated manual. Completion of the class includes a practical and written exam.
